The MC71XSG‐XX auto‐negotiating fast Ethernet media converter set is designed to translates 1000Base‐TX copper and

1000Base‐FXfastEthernetfibercabling.ThemediaconverterenablesyoutoextendthedistanceofyourGigabitEthernetnetwork

upto40km(XXinthepartnumberwillindicatemaxdistance).

The

Convertersareequippedwith[1]duplexSCfiberconnectortotransmitdataBi‐directionallyoverasinglefiberopticcable.

SixLEDindicatorsarebuiltinforeasymonitoringandsystemdiagnosticsforpower,fiberandUTP,linkandactivity.

Refertotheabovediagramwheninstalling.Usebestindustrypracticesandfollowalllocalbuildingcodes.

1)Connectanetworkpatchcablefromthenetworkequipment’sEthernetstothereceiver.

2)ConnectaSingleModefibercablebetweenthetransmitterandthereceiverusingSCfiberconnectors.

3)Connect

anetworkpatchcablefromthetransmitter’sEthernetjacktotheremoteIPdevice(IPcamerainthisexample).

4)Connectthesuppliedpowertransformerstothetransmitterandreceiver.


